Swagman XC2 Bike Rack Review - 2024 Hyundai Tucson- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Swagman E-SPEC Bike Carrier on our 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The E-SPEC is a frame-mounted bike carrier, so your padded hook is gonna make contact with your top tube. If you have a carbon fiber bike or a bike with a nice paint job where you didn't want to have contact, or even a unconventional bike like a step through, this may not be the best option for you right out the gate. You're also secured using cradles on the front and rear that strap into place to stabilize your bike to the back of the vehicle. The E-SPEC has locking handles as far as your hooks that mount to your bike, so that's another cool thing that's gonna keep everything nice and secure. Let's take our bike off of the carrier and we can take a closer look at some of the features. more

How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman Okanagan 125 Bike Carrier on our 2024 Hyundai Tucson. The Okanagan is a wheel mounted bike carrier that's going to allow you to transport your bike without making any contact to your top tube. So if you have a carbon fiber bike or an unconventional frame, you'll be able to make use of the bike carrier without making contact to your actual frame. And with our XL frame bike, you can see even shaking the carrier, you're not in any risk of making contact with the back of your vehicle. So let's take a look at our tilt. How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the XTC2 TILT from Swagman on our 2024 Hyundai Tucson. Our carrier is a frame-mounted bike carrier, so it's actually contacts right here on the top tube and on your front and rear wheel. So if you have a bike that's a little bit nicer or unconventional frame, you may have issues as far as using this carrier and getting the most out of securing your bike. An observation I made while taking a look at the XTC2 is the fact that it is kind of a small carrier. This is actually a small frame bike here. We tried to load a XL frame mountain bike and it just simply too large to fit on the inside and the small is still gonna make contact with the back of your tailgate and your handlebars can come close to your window. more

Hollywood Racks Destination 4 Bike Rack Review - 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video
Hi, John with etrailer. Listen, if you have more than one bike in your life, you need this. This is the Hollywood Racks Destination 4 hitch-mounted bike rack that we've installed on our 2018 Hyundai Santa Fe. Now the Destination 4 is gonna be a platform-style bike rack, and it does have a curved platform to it, so that's gonna accept more different wheel bases on your bikes. Now just to note, this does make frame contact primarily. So if you are a little sensitive about your carbon fiber bike frames, this may not be the rack for you. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today we're gonna be talking about the Yakima OnRamp bike rack on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Now, this is gonna be a excellent choice if you're looking for something that's gonna haul those heavy e-bikes and it's gonna have an arm ramp to make it a lot easier for you. Since this carrier can carry our heavier e-bikes it's gonna be able to hold up to 66 pounds per bike holding two bikes. Now I'd recommend, when you do get your bikes up here, just taking off your batteries, maybe either storing 'em in your bed or somewhere else in your vehicle. Just gonna save you on some extra weight. more

Hi, Matt with etrailer. Today, we're gonna be talking the Kuat NV Base 2.0 Bike Rack on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Typically, I would recommend a tailgate pad for anyone who has a bed on their vehicle, but the Santa Cruz has a smaller bed and a lot of times, they can have a Tonneau cover built into them. So that's gonna take up a lot of room in your bedding. You won't be able to fit a lot of bikes in there. In that case, I'd recommend a hitch bike rack. more

Hi, I'm Matt with etrailer. Today we'll be talking about the Yakima FullTilt bike rack that holds five bikes on the 2023 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Now this is gonna be a good option for you if you're kind of looking for something that's gonna haul a lot more bikes than your typical platform style bike rack that won't take up near as much room. I will say, typically, I would recommend a tailgate pad for hauling your bikes instead. But with how small the bed is on the Santa Cruz, it's not gonna be able to hold a lot of our standard or larger sized bikes. So I think this is gonna be a good fit. more

Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Hyundai Palisade- Video
Hi, everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com, and today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris MHS Platform-Style Bike Rack here on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. Now, the MHS is gonna hold the bike in this tray and by each tire. We have these two arms ratcheted down and holding it pre-firmly in place here. I like this style of holding the bike personally, I think it's easiest to load and unload, and overall, it's a really good design, it's a really strong design. Like other platform-style bike racks in this class, you do have the ability to tilt it away with the bikes loaded. We've got this handle here at the end that we can just grab and pull and let this down. more

Hi everyone, Aidan here with etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the Saris MHS platform style bike rack on our 2022 Hyundai Palisade. Now this bike rack holds the bike primarily by the wheels. That's gonna mean zero frame contact making it good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes. It's gonna be good for e-bikes too. It's gonna hold the bikes actually really well because not only does it have those wheel hooks or those wheel hoops holding down the tires we've got some secondary points of contact like our back wheel strap, holding that back wheel bound. more

Saris Freedom 2 Bike Platform Rack for Fat Bikes Review - 2020 Hyundai Palisade- Video
Hey guys, Kevin with etrailer, and today we'll gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom Bike Rack for two Fat Bikes here on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. This platform bike rack is going to have a frame mount style, so that means it's going to attach to the bike frame, so you wanna make sure that you don't use this with any carbon fiber bikes or anything where you can actually damage the paint on it. And it's gonna have a 60 pound per bike capacity while in use with a Class 3 hitch. So that's with that two inch adjustment on the shank itself. Now if you take that adjuster off of there and you're using this in a Class 1 hitch and the inch and a quarter style opening then you're only gonna be limited to a 35 per bike capacity. What makes this bike rack stand out from the original Saris Freedom is it's gonna include these fat bike wheel cradles which is going to allow you to install a bike just like our Fat Bike right here. more

Saris Freedom Hitch Bike Rack Review - 2020 Hyundai Palisade- Video
Hey guys, Kevin here with etrailer and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom two bike rack here on our 2020 Hyundai Palisade. This platform style bike rack has easily adjustable wheel cradles as well as a frame mounted clamp which is going to allow you to easily fit a multitude of different frame styles as well as different wheel bases. When you're in a class three hitch with the 2" adapter on the shank of your bike rack, you're gonna be able to hold up to 60 pounds per bike in these wheel cradles. So that's gonna allow you to take your e-bike just like we have right here. Now if you remove that adapter and you need to get down to a class one hitch, so that 1 1/4", you're only gonna have a 35 pound per bike capacity. Now with this bike rack, there is quite a bit of space between the actual bike and your vehicle so you don't have to worry about that really banging up against the back of the vehicle. more

Hey everybody, how's it going Today, we're gonna be going over the Thule EasyFold XT 2-bike rack here on a 2022 Hyundai Palisade. So the EasyFold XT is sort of a unique bike rack. It has some great features that no other bike rack has. Now this bike rack is primarily gonna be used for electric bikes, 'cause it supports a 65 pound per bike weight capacity for each of our two cradles. So one of those other features that make it specific to e-bikes is the integrated loading ramp. Now there's actually a convenient little storage system for your ramp when you're not using it. more

Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2022 Hyundai Palisade, we're gonna be checking out the Curt Premium hitch minor bike rack. One of the big questions, a lot of people ask and in regards to hitch minor bike racks is are they still gonna be able to get into the back of your SUV And with this one, the answer is, yes it does fold down out of the way. And to do that, there's a couple things we need to do. I'm not super crazy about this setup but I mean, it does work. You'll have this T knob there you loosen that up and then you pull this pin and clip out and then you can pull up on this handle and that's going to allow this to drop down. more

Hi there everyone, John here and today we're gonna be taking a look at the Kuat Sherpa on our 2022 Hyundai Santa Cruz. Now, if you're looking for a bike rack with a lot of premium features and more of a compact design platform style rack wise, this is a great choice to go with. It can handle up to 40 pounds, which is relatively nice for what you're getting, it can handle most road bikes, women's bikes, but maybe some of the fat tire bikes and e-bikes, will not be able to handle those. So keep that in mind and maybe figure out how much your bike weighs before you get this. Now, as you can tell with it also having a front tire hold, this is gonna add to the versatility of this bike rack for the fact that you can actually have carbon frame and odd-sized and odd-shaped frames on this, so your women's bikes, your carbon frame bikes, you aren't gonna have to worry about deterioration on that frame, or maybe it just wouldn't fit. So that's one of the reasons I like it to have a wheel hold like this. more

Today, we gonna be taking a look at the gunmetal variation and the two inch hitch receiver but this same rack is gonna be available in matte black and gloss black. But you do want to keep in mind the matte black version is the base model. And then these do come in two inch hitches and one and a quarter inch options and all of those colors. And this is honestly one of my favorite racks out there on the market. more

Swagman Hitch Bike Racks Review - 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe- Video
Hi there Hyundai owners, today on your 2020 Hyundai Santa Fe, we're going to be taking a look at Swagman's XC2 two-bike platform rack. This two-bike platform rack's gonna be great for mountain bikes, or larger bikes as well, up to a tire width of about three inches. So you can put just about anything on here, and they do have staggeredness to them so that way you don't have to worry about your handlebars contacting. And we have frame contact that holds our bike into place. So this is gonna ensure that it stays in there very solid and that our bike's not gonna go anywhere. Now because this is a frame contacting bike, I don't recommend this for carbon fiber bikes as it could potentially damage the frame due to the vibrations. more

Thule Helium Pro 2 Bike Rack Review - 2020 Hyundai Kona- Video
Ryan: Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2020 Hyundai Kona, we're going to be taking a look at the Thule Helium Pro Hitch Mounted Bike Rack. So one of the big questions we get asked all the time in regards to hitch mounted bike racks is if you're still going to be able to have full access to the back of your Kona. And this one does fold down out of the way and allows us to do that. So super simple, if you pull up on this lever, the rack will swing down, and then we're able to open up our hatch and get any gear or anything you might need in and out of the back. And once we're finished up, you simply can just close our hatch and flip the rack back up into this position here.So another great thing I really like about this rack is it's aluminum. more

This is a two-bike platform rack, and one of the best features is we can actually tilt our bike rack down with bikes on it, to get into our trunk.As you can see, there's plenty of room for our trunk to open and still clear our bike. As you can see, there's plenty of room to where we can get into our trunk, if we need to get a drink or bike parts, anything we might need before we go out on the trail. When we're done on our trunk, we simply close the trunk of our vehicle, come back up here and tilt our bike rack up.Our bike is secured in two spots. more
